Grzegorz Wiśniewski, PhD – head coordinator of the project "Season of Russia in Poland / Season of Poland in Russia - Warsaw-Moscow / Moscow-Warsaw 2004-2005". A graduate of the Poznan Medical Academy, he completed his doctorate in cultural anthropology at the Academy of Social Studies in Moscow. For over a quarter of a century, he has been involved in cultural affairs and the furthering and promotion of Polish culture in Poland and abroad, serving as assistant director of the Center for Polish Culture and Information in Moscow (1988-1992) as well as assistant director of the Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture (1995-1997). He is also active as an essayist, publicist and translator of Russian literature. Since the year 2000, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the First Association of Polish Writers.

The Karta Center
The Karta Center - an independent non-governmental organization (incorporated as a foundation), documenting and popularizing the recent history of Poland and Eastern Europe. It continues the activities of the illegal "Karta" and the clandestine Eastern Archives of the 1980s.
